G & G Diner

Me and my partner were visiting the area (staying in Athelstane) and on our way up to Long Slide Falls we stopped here for lunch. I ordered the Reuben with side of German potato salad and my partner got the crispy chicken tender sandwich with a side of smoked Mac n cheese. We shared our entrees with each other. All the food was well prepared and delicious! The sauces for the sandwiches tasted homemade, bread was toasted nicely, the mac n cheese was creamy and had a beautiful, natural smoke flavor. German potato salad excellent! A cute little up north country diner with tasty eatsNext time I'm in the area, I will definitely stop back here to eat.*EDIT* At the end of our 4 night stay, we stopped back for breakfast on our way home and again, very delicious! Portions very generous, we ended up taking the leftovers and finishing them once we got home. This will be our spot to eat when we visit Marinette county!

Gayle is a fantastic owner / server of this diner. The food was delicious and Gayle is so friendly. The perfect place to stop for a bite.

We stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday while passing through town. Friendly service immediately greeted us and found us a table. I had the country style steak with eggs and my husband had the classic breakfast combo #1. Everything was delicious and portions were generous! We agreed that they do have the “best pancakes in the north woods.” The servers were very friendly and prompt.

Best breakfast I've had in a long time. It's such a treat to go, awesome staff, awesome food. Highly recommend Gail's Burrito!!!

We were just here yesterday under the new owner. She has owned it since July 2022.We were acknowledged right away and she also took our order Within minutes, food came out fast, super hot and super delicious. I was really impressed. Very nice place. We were here a few years ago before she took over and we waited for over an hour while the waitresses talked! Food was just so so. Happy to see the new owners doing very well!!

Everything about this place is amazing. Menu choices leave nothing to desire. Food was homemade, served quickly with large portions. Pancakes were out of this world. Biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns and eggs were prepared to perfection. Wish I lived closer, because I would definitely be a regular. Don't pass by without stopping here first!

Gayle and her entire team are the best! We went there for breakfast every morning while on our UTV trip! The lemon and blueberry pancakes are the best I’ve ever had!
